Maddie 1 of 3

Maddie

Maddie came into our care due to her owner passing away. She is an affectionate girl who enjoys a calm and quiet life, and she feels she is at the age where she knows exactly who she is and what she likes. She likes a quiet life, loves attention, letting you know how things should run, and will happily lean in for a fuss once she trusts you. She is not a fan of being picked up, preferring the security of all four paws on the ground, In her video, youll spot a shaved patch on her side this is from the removal of a small lump, which was not of concern and is healing very well.Maddie has transferred to the Dorset Cat Centre from foster care as they felt she was being overlooked, and were hoping her perfect match will find her soon. We feel she will be best suited to an experienced adult only home. We also understand she has lived with another cat, but they were not close so we suspect she would like to be the only cat in her new abode, enjoying a peaceful space to call her own, but depending on space, she may be willing to consider more.

Matey 1 of 2

Matey

Matey is a sweet, gentle older gentleman who prefers life at a calm and peaceful pace. After leaving the only home hed ever known, hes still adjusting to the cattery environment and is looking for patient adopters who will allow him the time and space to settle in and build trust at his own speed.Matey enjoys human company but also values his independence. He may sometimes choose a cosy hiding spot, but with a little time he becomes more confident and enjoys gentle interaction. He likes a soft stroke, will curl up beside you, and may sit on your lap for short periods. He also enjoys brief grooming sessions. Matey can be sensitive to loud noises and may hide until things feel calm again. Hes known for giving very enthusiastic head bumps and is very food-motivated, which is a great way to win his heart. If he becomes a little overstimulated during fuss, he may gently mouth as his way of asking for a break. In his previous home, Matey loved spending time outdoors, so he would enjoy a home with safe outdoor access to potter and relax in the sunshine.Matey has a low-grade heart murmur which requires no treatment, just monitoring during routine vet checks. He is looking for a quiet, child-free home where he can enjoy a relaxed and comfortable retirement.

Archie 1 of 2

Archie

Archie is a shy, sensitive boy, around 6-years-old who came into our care as a stray, believed to have been left behind when his previous owners moved. Understandably, hes cautious with new people and very noise-sensitive, so he needs time, patience, and a calm environment to feel safe. Once he begins to trust you, Archie shows a quiet curiosity, but hes likely to prefer a hands-off approach for a while. He would thrive in a peaceful home where he can settle at his own pace, with people who understand that confidence grows slowly for cats like him. Whilst in our care, Archie has been neutered, microchipped and has had a dental. A home with space to roam or even a small holding would suit him beautifully, giving him the freedom to choose how and when he interacts. With the right home, we feel Archie will finally have the security and gentle routine hes been missing.

Hes the kind of cat who blossoms with a bit of love and calm he enjoys a fuss, loves a bit of playtime, and will happily share his affectionate side once he feels safe. A quiet environment helps him relax, show his personality, and enjoy all the things he loves most: gentle strokes, cosy naps, and a good play session with his favourite toys. Oreo is looking for a home where he can be the only pet, as well as one without young children (10+), so he can settle in without feeling overwhelmed.
